How many of you are worriers? There is a lot to worry about. A global
pandemic, economic hardship, social unrest, unprecedented spikes of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicides. What are we supposed to do? "Be anxious for nothing, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God." Prayer is the antidote for anxiety. There’s nothing too flashy about that advice. It’s not new or trendy, but that is how we win the battle within! As we cast our cares upon Him, "The peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus." But we also need to fight our "stinking thinking." "For as he thinks within himself, so he is," says Proverbs 23:7 NASB. The battle is won because we are His beloved!
