The book of Joshua begins with the children of Israel at a figurative and literal crossroads. After forty years wandering in the wilderness, they finally stood on the brink of the Promised Land. The Promised Land represents a promised life for us. God assured Joshua of victory, but he still had a part to play in claiming his inheritance. "I will give you every place where
you set your foot," God said. Joshua had to walk throughout it—and keep walking, trusting in God and staying rooted in His Word. God’s formula for success has absolutely nothing to do with our abilityor how talented or connected we are. All we have to do is move forward in faith with courage
strength knowing that God is with us.
