Daniel Bentley, October 16, 2019, John 1:35-42
Where we go in life and which paths we end up taking are determined by what we’re searching for. Every day more than 3.5 billion people log on to Google and type something into the search bar. That’s a lot of searching. Two disciples of John the Baptist started following Jesus, out of curiosity. When He turned to them and asked, "What do you seek?" He was asking the most important question in their lives. Jesus’ invitation to all spiritual seekers is, "Come," a word of welcome. The pattern of seeking, finding and inviting is the story of the Gospel.
