How prophecy became reality. About Mary anointing Him with oil, Jesus said, “She did it for My burial.” Passover was only two days away, meaning that Jesus carried this fragrance with Him all the way to the trial and crucifixion. Mary anointing Jesus' feet was the final insult to Judas. After that he was determined to betray Jesus to the leaders who wanted to kill Him. When Jesus offered Judas bread dipped in the sauce it was an offer of friendship and a chance to change course.
