Jesus' heart overflows with love. Luke 19:41 tells us that Jesus wept as He looked over the city of Jerusalem and thought of its coming judgment. Oh how He wanted to protect them from the terrible judgment that would follow their rejection of Him.Jesus wept two times that we know of. Here, at the pain of knowing what would happen to Jerusalem, and at the tomb of Lazarus. When we sin, God does not hate us. He genuinely sorrows for us, knowing that sin and rebellion destroys us. One day Israel will say “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" and in that day she will be forever redeemed, restored, and saved!
