Understanding "ecclesia"or the church. Ecclesia is the Greek word defined as “a called out assembly or congregation.” It is where decisions were made in the spheres of law, education, and the marketplace, even the declaring of war. The imagery and symbolism of marriage is applied to Christ and the body of believers known as the church. The church is comprised of those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and have received eternal life. As the church, we are meant to be salt and light in the world. Jesus decided to begin His church at the gates of hell! The devil may have the Gates, but Jesus has the Keys to the Gates, and He says He has given us the Keys!
