What does the New Testament teach us about the local church assembly? The churches gathered regularly. "First of all, when you come together as a church…” says 1 Corinthians 11:18. Church assemblies were a distinct eventqith specifics activites like hymns, praise, lessons, revelation and gifts operating. The churhces met as one body, all in accord. The Bible instructs churches to do ministry that can only be done by meeting together: teaching, admonishing and singing to one another, encourage one another, spur one another on. We can be gathered, scattered, and gathered again.
