It takes courage to stand true and faithful to God. Real courage is facing your hearts greatest fear and still doing the right thing. Saul was lacking courage. Goliath overcame his fears with brute strength, the best armor, and extreme self-confidence. It was a fake courage. David possessed true courage. True courage comes when I know my champion has already defeated my greatest giant so I can bravely face all lesser giants. "We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith" (Hebrews 12:2).
