Elimelech left home, driven by famine and the economic situation of his land. When he died, he left his wife, Naomi, devastated. She decided to return home, back to Bethlehem. Ruth, her daughter-in-law, pledged to to stay with her even though Naomi tried to turn her away. Naomi was filled with bitterness. But she wasn't alone. Good can't start until the bad stops. God is at work even when we don't perceive it.
