You shall receive power: The Spirit of God will indwell every believer. The Greek term for power is "dunamis," which means force, miraculous power, ability, strength, violence, and mighty. It also means one’s ability or capacity. Being able to do something. The specific ability depends on the context. Martyrdom comes from the Greek word for witness: "martys." The disciples were shocked and spellbound, beholding the most dramatic and phenomenal events ever experienced—the Ascension of the Messiah in a cloud of glory, and His return into Heaven. The Upper Room prayer meeting is happening again today!
